261-'The room with the stolen Renoir'
oils on canvas 85x98cm August 06. The Renoir painting that I have placed within my 'New Orleans faded beauty style of room', is in true life -175x131cm, of course it;s the famous 'Ball at the Moulin de la Galette' painted by Renoir in 1876. In my minds eye I have tried to reproduce it to scale for the room that I have placed it in. This is an example of the style I like to use where I just love to copy an old masters work and incorporate it into my own painting .. can create a few headaches but it's generally worth the effort.
