Murals are a favourite form of painting for me .. I like the size and being able to work in my style of impressionism.

I have completed mural art in or on several restaurants. If you would like to discuss a mural for your restaurant / home or whatever, I am happy to visit and give my free advice and ideas (might just cost a glass of wine for the visit). I can then go away and sketch some ideas for you of work directly from photographs .. interpreting with an impressionist viewpoint.

A mural could and ususally is painted straight onto the wall or could be made up in panels depending on size but obviously this is a little more expensive. It does give the option though of being able to sell a painting to a visitor to a restaurant ( with a mark-up for yourself of course) .. I will paint a new one to replace it or a new scene / view.

The medium of choice for me is fast drying oils for a mural, this allows quick completion which is obviously important to a business.

This is a sample of the mural art work I paint. Completed recently in Whangamata on a beachfront house patio .. So I will travel to make you a mural painting if needed at your restaurant or home.

The supporting post on the left is real, I have tried to match the hand rail colour with the wine glass sitting on it, to the oroginal post colour and texture.

The original photograph I worked from. Been there .. beautiful place .. I added the poppies in the foreground of the painting from another shot and joined them to the patio setting with the steps in the painting at the bottom.
