HISTORY I have always painted, the last Twenty years fulltime. Thick paint, influenced by the 'impressionists' seems to be from where my style has evolved over the years, the effects of light are endlessly fascinating to me and one day I'll get it right... although some people think that it is pretty good now having purchased several of my works each. Although I paint full time, the amount of paintings I produce couldn't be described as prolific, I am driven to produce the best I can at the time with the desire and aim to put something special into each work. I have participated in many NZ art exhibitions, and have received good comment and the occasional award for my work. The biggest award though is when someone decides they would like to buy a painting. 1999 My first solo NZ art exhibition, Auckland - ' Canvas Carvings ' .. 2000 'The blokes show ' Waiheke Island art, they know how to do it!, I was the only 'outsider' invited to participate ! 2000 Uze's, Provence France 'An outsiders perspective' 2002 'Artworks at the Hilton'', Invited to take part as one of the top one hundred artists in New Zealand. 2004 'NZ art solo exhibition' Art By the Sea Gallery, Devonport, Auckland. VALUE / QUALITY I am proud of the fact that I have art in the homes / company offices of people from the very wealthy and famous to ordinary folk like myself. Most people who buy my paintings obviously buy because they like them. You would find, if you purchased an artwork of mine, say, five years ago, in most cases it would be selling for 50 -200% more at current values...an added bonus!. All my art for sale is made with the best quality art materials available, so lastability is not an issue! FRAMING / DELIVERY All my oil paintings are unframed. Framing is about the personal touch it's new owner can add to suit the painting and the room. If you require a frame I can help with this. My New Zealand fine art oil paintings on canvas or linen,are available Ex my artists studio in Devonport, or I will carefully package and ship anywhere, as I have done for many satisfied purchasers.
